Therapy that helps you come back to yourself.

Psychotherapy for adults in Ohio navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, dissociation, identity, and the feeling that somewhere along the way, you lost contact with yourself.

I offer EMDR, parts work, mindfulness, and body-aware psychotherapy in a collaborative, affirming space.

Who I Work With

I work with adults facing a wide range of concerns, but I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ people, men, trauma survivors, and people who feel disconnected from themselves or unsure of what they actually want. You may understand your patterns intellectually and still feel stuck, pulled in opposite directions, or unsure whether the life you're living still fits.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong. We can figure that out together.

Trauma + complex trauma

Dissociation + disconnection

Anxiety + overwhelm

LGBTQ + identity

Shame + difficult patterns

Life transitions + feeling stuck

What if there isn’t something fundamentally wrong with you?

How I Work

Therapy can become less about fixing yourself and more about understanding what has gotten in the way of the wholeness that is already here. Sometimes that means practical support for what is happening right now. Sometimes the work needs to go deeper. We can do both.

Get through what’s happening now

Practical tools for anxiety, depression, anger, overwhelm, and nervous-system regulation.

Go beneath the symptoms

EMDR, parts work, mindfulness, and body awareness can help us work with trauma, old beliefs, protective patterns, and unresolved experiences.

Find your own compass

Therapy isn’t about telling you how to live. It can help you hear yourself more clearly and build trust in what you already know.

Diagnosis is a flashlight, not a tattoo.

It can help illuminate what is happening and guide treatment, but it is never the whole story of who you are.

Meet Evan

I’m Evan Wilkerson, MSW, LISW, RYT-200.

For more than a decade, mindfulness and contemplative practice have been part of both my personal life and professional work. Alongside psychotherapy, I’ve taught mindfulness and yoga in community, educational, healthcare, correctional, and professional settings.

As a therapist, I integrate EMDR, parts work, mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral approaches, and an understanding of the nervous system and body.

I’m not a blank-slate therapist. I listen carefully, and I’ll also tell you what I’m noticing.

I’m warm, curious, active, and fairly direct. I believe therapy works best when both people in the room are allowed to be people.

More Than Individual Therapy

Alongside individual therapy, I offer opportunities to practice, learn, and connect through iRest, mindfulness groups, and experiential workshops.

iRest Yoga Nidra

Guided practices for deep rest, nervous-system regulation, self-inquiry, and reconnecting with a sense of wholeness.

Mindfulness Groups

Opportunities to practice together, deepen awareness, and explore what becomes possible when we slow down and listen.

Workshops + Events

Experiential offerings that bring together mindfulness, psychology, embodiment, creativity, and contemplative practice.
